FDA-TRACK update shows jump in FOIA requests

The FDA records 933 Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests in March 2011 in its most recent update of the FDA-TRACK performance management system. That's the high mark in the first half of its 2011 fiscal year, and a healthy rise over the 807 requests in February. Nearly one-third of the requests concern the ORA-Field program; 21 percent relate to the Office of the Commissioner and 18 percent to CDER. The agency reports a cumulative 4,249 requests pending at the end of March, a decrease of 143 compared with February. FDA-TRACK Dashboard
