Animalytix expands to Canada, picks up animal-health data service

Animalytix, a company that's part of the Kansas City Animal Health Corridor, announced on December 1 that it has acquired the Compendium of Veterinary Products, the MSDS information system and related assets that were owned by North American Compendiums of Ontario. North American Compendiums provides product labeling information and safety data sheets covering more than 14,000 products for animals, while Animalytix offers detailed data on sales of veterinary pharmaceutical products. The addition will both boost Animalytix's product offerings and allow it to establish a commercial presence in Canada. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Release (PDF)
