Japan-based Eisai said it has merged its two India subsidiaries--Eisai Pharmaceuticals India, based in Mumbai, and Eisai Pharmatechnology and Manufacturing, based in Visakhapatnam.
The single unit is to use the name of the Mumbai unit and will be headed by Eisai India Managing Director Sanjit Singh Lamba.
Lamba said the amalgamation was an attempt to leverage the capabilities of the two units, its research and manufacturing operations and its sales force, while making India operations more efficient.
