Boston Scientific's ($BSX) Ranger drug-coated balloon catheter was recently awarded a CE mark for its 25-mm Lotus Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation System, giving the company a new presence in the endovascular market complementing its 23-mm and 27-mm versions. The product, used to treat peripheral artery disease, will optimize drug delivery while using Sterling balloon technology and a paclitaxel coating to treat diseased vascular tissue without leaving a permanent implant.
