Survey looks at insulin injection pain, compliance

A survey of 502 regular insulin injectors and 301 professionals who treat them found, among other things, that at least 33 percent of patients experience dread when it comes to insulin injections and 47 percent said they would be more likely to comply with their drug regimen if they had tips for relieving injection discomfort. While Novo Nordisk, Eli Lilly, Sanofi Aventis are aggressively marketing insulin analogues to increase profits, Generex Biotechnology continues to study an alternative to injectable insulin.  Report
