SPOTLIGHT: Lilly settles 900 more Zyprexa claims
Eli Lilly has settled some 900 lawsuits over its antipsychotic drug Zyprexa, including five set to go to trial next month, leaving about 1,100 claims unsettled. Many of the plaintiffs alleged that Lilly downplayed the drug's side effects, including weight gain and elevated blood sugar. The company has set aside $1.2 billion to cover the claims.
