J&J accuses lawyers of illegally recruiting women to sue over vaginal mesh

Johnson & Johnson ($JNJ), embroiled in litigation over its vaginal mesh product, claims that lawyers solicited women to file suit against the company. Lawyers' phone calls to potential plaintiffs abuse private medical information and violate legal standards set out by the American Bar Association, J&J said in a legal filing. Bryan Aylstock, one of the plaintiffs' lawyers, called the filing "baseless," and said it was designed to evade responsibility for the devices' failure, Reuters reports.
