Indian pharma exports drop 40% in downturn
The economic downturn in the U.S. has hurt the pharmaceuticals industry worse than any other export sector in the Indian economy. Drug exports dropped almost 40 percent between October 2008 and the end of February 2009 as Indian companies lose relative share to other emerging-market competitors. Report
