Healthcare reformers hold pharma investments
Almost 30 key lawmakers helping draft landmark healthcare legislation have financial holdings in the industry totaling nearly $11 million, including sizable stock investments in the likes of Eli Lilly, Bristol-Myers Squibb, and Merck. The investments aren't against the rules, and in some cases represent a small percentage of the Congressional reps' net worth, but critics worry that personal finances might influence their reform efforts.
