Boehringer's sales slide triggers job-chopping in Connecticut

Boehringer Ingelheim's global restructuring--prompted by the German pharma's sales struggle--is now manifesting itself in Connecticut, where the company is laying off staffers in Ridgefield. As a BI spokesperson told FierceBiotech, the move affects less than 5% of its 2,700-strong workforce there, but the company is looking to find new positions for some of the people involved in the cutback.
