AmerisourceBergen ($ABC) is set to do its second $2.5 billion deal this year, again taking a turn into a new arena. The drug sourcing and distribution giant says it has a deal to buy PharMEDium, a sterile drug compounding specialist with a client list of more than 3,000 acute care hospitals for which it produces specialized products from four centers.
