Bill Weldon - 2009 CEO Pay

Bill Weldon - Johnson & Johnson
Total Compensation: $30.8 million
Details: Weldon's compensation grew to $30.8 million in 2009, up 5.5 percent from his 2008 pay of $29.4 million. His base salary totaled $1.8 million, while stock awards came to $2.76 million--both numbers were up slightly from 2008 levels. Weldon's stock options for 2009 increased by $1.3 million or so, to $5.24 million. The bulk of his compensation came as bonus pay, which totaled $12.83 million.
J&J will have a hard time justifying another pay raise for Weldon next year: the CEO is facing serious questions about ongoing manufacturing problems at a troubled Tylenol plant in Fort Washington, PA.
