• Amgen reported adjusted earnings per share (EPS) of $1.49 for the third quarter of 2009, an increase of 21 percent compared to $1.23 for the third quarter of 2008.
• Adjusted net income increased 16 percent to $1,518 million in the third quarter of 2009 compared to $1,308 million in the third quarter of 2008.
• Total revenue decreased 2 percent during the third quarter of 2009 to $3,812 million versus $3,875 million in the third quarter of 2008.
