AstraZeneca wants some fresh eyes on its financial challenges. The drug maker is casting outside of pharma for a new CFO to replace Jon Symonds, who quit abruptly in June to join Goldman Sachs.
The company is down to a short list and expects to announce the chosen one soon. That'll be two down and five to go [1]; Pfizer recently tapped an industry outsider [2] as its new CFO, and five other drug companies are still on the hunt.
