AstraZeneca Launches Nexium® (Esomeprazole Magnesium) Direct-to-Patient Program
WILMINGTON, Del., March 19, 2014 – AstraZeneca today launched NEXIUM Direct, a program that provides eligible patients the option of having brand-name NEXIUM delivered directly to their home. NEXIUM Direct is part of AstraZeneca Direct, a web-based offering that delivers select brand name prescription medications from AstraZeneca directly to a person's home. The medications are dispensed by a team of registered pharmacists and certified pharmacy technicians available through a collaboration with Eagle Pharmacy, a trusted pharmacy partner.

Enrollment in NEXIUM Direct is easy. There are no coupons or co-pay cards required; all a patient needs is a valid prescription from a physician. Patients simply go to www.purplepill.com and click on the NEXIUM Direct link to complete the online enrollment form and provide a valid prescription for NEXIUM. During and after enrollment, patients will have access to a 24-hour support center to contact via email or phone if they have questions, the opportunity to request auto refills, and free home delivery.
